Swindon Borough Council's Licensing Panel voted on Thursday 1 October to grant a new premises licence to McDonald's on Whitehall Way, allowing it to serve food between 11pm and 5am, seven days a week. The restaurant, on the Shaw Ridge Leisure Park site previously occupied by Pizza Hut until its closure in January 2025, is still being fitted out, with demolition of the old building already complete.
