AI tools help select a story and draft our comic response; an automated review checks the draft against the source and our editorial rules before publication. That review is not independent reporting or a guarantee that the source's facts are correct.
We use only the context needed to set up the joke. The comic premise and recurring characters are fictional, and every article links to its source. We leave crimes, accidents, illness and the people affected by them alone.
Dialogue from our fictional characters is invented. We do not invent quotes, comments, interviews or responses from real people, businesses, organisations or spokespeople, whether named or unnamed.
