Citifaith International Church has announced plans to buy The Savoy, the Wetherspoon pub on Regent Street in Swindon town centre, and convert the whole building into what it is calling a House of Miracles. The congregation already worships on the floor above the pub and has outgrown it after 25 years, prompting a fundraising campaign for £145,000 to secure the site, with an original deadline of 31 August 2026. The pub has been listed for sale on Rightmove since May 2026, advertised as a public house in a busy high street location, though JD Wetherspoon has confirmed to the Swindon Advertiser that no sale has yet gone through.
