There are certain truths you learn as a parent during half-term. One is that 'free family activity' rarely means free of queuing, and another is that any trail promising 'magic' will, at some point, pass directly through the bit of the shopping centre that smells of popcorn and regret. The Brunel in Swindon is putting that theory to the test with an immersive Skandar-themed book trail running from 24 October to 1 November.
